The placing of an order with Focusse creates a contract on the basis of these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions apply equally to all orders given, irrespective of method. It is the responsibility of the user of our services to be aware of our terms and conditions.
Nothing in this agreement will affect any consumer’s statutory rights.

Placing an order

The placing of an order online, via email, or by phone constitutes acceptance of prices shown on our website and you will be held liable for the full order value.

Since all of our prints are made to order, in the event that you wish to cancel or amend an order please contact us within 24 hours. If you fail to do so and work has commenced on your order we will not offer any monetary compensation and you will be held liable for payment in full.

Whilst we make every effort to identify obvious errors on order forms all information contained within your order form must be accurate and exact and we will not accept liability for missed or inaccurate information resulting in a final print product which does not meet your satisfaction. In this instance provided Focusse has executed your order, as per your order form instructions, you will be held liable for payment in full.

All sizes quotes are nominal and Focusse shall accept no liability for minor variations in size. All orders are finished by hand and because of this we allow a tolerance of 2mm in each direction.

Copyright

All the images shown on the website are the intellectual property of Focusse who has the original photo print on premise. All the resultant digital artwork is produced from these original prints. Some detail of the original print may be enhanced or modified to enable better production of the final artwork.

Colour matching / Proofing

The printing Studio cannot guarantee exact colour matching. Due to the imprecise nature of colour management some colours may not accurately reproduce. Additionally, discrepancies may arise when the finshed product is viewed outside of a controlled environment.

In this instance we cannot be held responsible for differences in tone, contrast, or any other aspect of an image supplied which differs from its appearance on a viewing screen. The colour management process is designed to minimize and not eliminate tolerances in the reproduction of colour prints.

Specified Lead Times

We will make every effort to ensure orders are completed within the stated lead times but cannot accept liability of consequential losses arising should these not be met. Lead times which are quoted are target times only and start only from the point at which we receive all order details required to complete your order.

Prices and Payment

All rates, prices and discounts quoted or published at focusse.co.uk are not subject to variation prior to acceptance of your order.

All of our orders are “Made to Order” and therefore all goods are sold on a non-cancellation basis once an order is placed.

Delivery

Delivery of completed orders will be made on behalf of Focusse by our carefully selected mail/courier companies or any other delivery services at the discretion of Focusse.

Charges for postage, packing and delivery are included in the quoted price. You shall be responsible for all customs and other duties and all related costs and expenses payable on any international transaction.

Where specified you will be required to sign for delivered work, or we will not be held responsible for any losses arising from the delivery.

Where Focusse has agreed to deliver goods to you, goods shall be delivered to the delivery address specified. If any of our representatives are unable to gain access to the delivery address or delivery is delayed due to any act or omission of the client, you will be held liable for any additional delivery costs incurred as a result of re-arranging delivery.

Immediately upon receipt or collection of any goods, you should inspect and satisfy yourself with its condition. If you fail to inform us within 48 hours after receipt or collection, of any defect or problem you shall be deemed to have confirmed that the goods are in a satisfactory condition.

The maximum liability of Focusse shall not exceed the total sum payable in connection with the relevant order. We shall not be liable for any loss of income or profits, loss of contracts or for any indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind howsoever arising.

Returns Policy and Damage

In the event that your print is damaged in any way upon receipt, please contact us as soon as possible. We cannot be held responsible for any damage to, discrepancies in or shortages of delivered materials unless notified within 48 hours of receipt.

Any claims for damages must be supported by photographic evidence and we reserve the right and may request the return of the damaged article. Claims of this nature will be limited to the cost of the order as charged by Focusse. No actions will be taken by Focusse without photographic proof or the receipt of the damaged item.

Any items returned to Focusse will be destroyed after investigation.

If you are eligible for a refund, we will reimburse the price you have paid for the goods. Alternatively we may offer to reprint and resend the item free of charge.

Please note it is not our policy to offer both a refund and a reprint.

Who is Focusse?

Focusse is a very small private enterprise borne out of the combination of a photographic hobby and a working life of computer aided graphics and design.

Why is Focusse different?

All the images used at Focusse are privately owned and have not been obtained from image sites or elsewhere in the public domain. All original images are Intellectual Property and are archived at a private address. Buying the products direct from Focusse guarantees authenticity. Images owned by Focusse are not displayed on other image sites.
All the products on sale are supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity authenticated by an ArtSure Guild member..

How are the images produced

This information is Intellectual Property and not to be disclosed. It is without question that the process results in an artistic image with immaculate detail.

Quality Assurance

The products are printed on professional machines using the Giclée process with quality archival papers as used in document retrieval and museum archival procedures.  These archival quality prints can maintain their full colour for up to 75 years as long as they are mounted in glazed frames and exhibited in a normal dry environment away from direct sunlight.

Image Quality

Images in the collection are printed on professional commercial equipment at a resolution generally higher than the human eye can perceive. When viewing the images at the website on modern available devices which are limited in screen size, the actual quality of the image cannot be truly discerned hence the magnified extracts of the images are provided where appropriate.

Additional Sizes

The available quoted sizes of the images are the most popular. Other sizes are available but not noted in order to simplify website perusal. Images with borders

Every image size offered can be produced with or without an included border of approximately 12mm. The overall dimensions of the print remain the same as listed in the options. This option allows purchasers the opportunity to have a larger frame and use a mount with a suitable aperture window for the size of print purchased.
